How do I configure Echo-Health.ai to match my clinic’s location, integrations, and patient experience preferences?

The System Settings section allows you to customise your experience with Echo-Health.ai, ensuring that it fits seamlessly into your clinic’s operations. This area is typically accessed by administrators or clinical leads but can be useful for any team member needing to understand backend setup.

🔧 System Settings Explained – Echo-Health.ai

 


🌏 Country

Purpose: Sets your primary location for currency, compliance, and localisation.

Options:

  • Australia

  • New Zealand (default for NZ clinics)

Setting your country adjusts default formats such as dates (DD/MM/YYYY), currency (AUD/NZD), and SMS routing.


🔌 Integration Settings

Purpose: Allows Echo-Health.ai to connect to third-party systems such as your practice management software.

Toggle ON to:

  • Enable data exchange with Medtech or other selected platforms

  • Automatically populate patient demographics or sync consultation details

Note: Only toggle on if your clinic is set up for integration.


🤝 Integration Partner

Purpose: Specifies which PMS (Practice Management System) Echo-Health.ai is linked to.

Options:

  • Medtech (New Zealand default)

  • Manual (if not integrated)

This setting drives what data can be auto-synced from the PMS (e.g., patient details, provider details).


💰 Currency

Purpose: Sets your clinic’s billing currency for SMS credits and subscription management.

Options:

  • AUD (Australian clinics)

  • NZD (New Zealand clinics – default)

This does not affect the language of the system but is used in cost summaries and invoicing.


🈯 Multi-Language Support

Purpose: Enables translated summaries and outputs for patients who speak a language other than English.

Default: Off

When enabled:

  • The system allows you to select from available languages before generating a patient summary or action plan.

  • Only outputs are translated, not live transcriptions.

  • Beta status: available in selected languages.


📚 Patient Information

Purpose: Enables or disables educational resource links for patients (based on ICD-10 code).

Toggle ON to:

  • Include trusted URLs (e.g. Diabetes Australia) in patient summaries and SMS

Toggle OFF if:

  • You prefer not to send links or use your own educational material.


👥 Team Access

Purpose: Enables collaboration by allowing multiple users to share access to patient files.

Current Status: Optional

When enabled, this supports practices where more than one provider is involved in care (e.g. nurse + GP).


📎 Patient Context

Purpose: Allows the system to display the patient’s known Problems, Medications, and Allergies before the consultation begins.

Toggle ON to:

  • Show the Paperclip (📎) icon on the main consult page

  • Preload clinical background


These settings underpin how Echo-Health.ai functions at a clinic level. It’s worth reviewing them during setup, and periodically as your practice evolves.
