Using the Patient Page

The Patient Page in Echo-Health.ai is your central workspace for reviewing and finalising a consultation. From structured summaries to SMS follow-ups and trusted resources, everything is designed to support clinical quality, reduce admin, and improve patient compliance.

🔹 Top Navigation Bar

  • At the top of your screen, you’ll see four tabs:
Patient | Notes | Templates | Ask AI
  • This section focuses on the Patient Tab, where your communication with the patient is summarised and made actionable.

🧠 Patient Insight Panel

This panel shows AI-generated indicators based on the consultation transcript:

  • Health Literacy – helps shape the tone and complexity of the summary
  • Sentiment – e.g. neutral, positive, negative
  • Emotion – e.g. anxious, flat, engaged

These values guide how Echo-Health.ai tailors the language of both patient-facing and clinical documentation.

📄 Summary & To-Do List

Once the consultation is processed:

  • A plain-language summary is generated automatically
  • A structured To-Do List is created with actionable items (e.g. “Schedule blood test”)
  • Each item includes a due date and is editable prior to sending
  • Select Checkbox to send

Every entry is date-stamped to support compliance, medico-legal documentation, and care continuity.

📎 Patient Context (Paper Clip Icon)

Click the paperclip icon to view and update clinical context:

  • Known Problems
  • Current Medications
  • Allergies
  • Immunisations
  • Screenings
  • Notes

This ensures all downstream outputs (e.g. GP letters, SOAP notes, summaries) reflect the patient’s up-to-date clinical background.

Click the refresh button to update data from PMS system.

🌐 Patient Resourcing

Echo-Health.ai links structured diagnoses (e.g. ICD-10 codes or SOMEND CT codes) to trusted, patient-friendly resources.

  • For example, ICD-10 code E11 (Type 2 Diabetes) links to Diabetes Australia
  • In New Zealand these sites with be from Healthify
  • These links can be included in the patient’s SMS, supporting education and reducing the risk of misinformation
  • Clinicians can review and choose to remove or replace a resource link before sending
  • Select Checkbox to send

This avoids manual searching and helps patients access evidence-based information.

🔁 Reminders & Follow-Up

Each item in the To-Do List can trigger a follow-up reminder. These can include:

  • Supportive, plain-language reminders (e.g. “Please schedule your follow-up appointment to review your blood test.”)
  • A due date that’s visible to the patient
  • A booking link, such as HotDoc, where appropriate

You can schedule reminders in advance — perfect for pathology re-tests, specialist referrals, or medication reviews.

📲 Send SMS to the Patient

On the right-hand side of the Patient Page:

  1. Click Send SMS to preview the message
  2. The message can includes:
