What to Know About Integrations
Integrating Echo-Health.ai with your existing clinical systems can enhance automation, accuracy, and efficiency. This guide explains what integrations are available, how they work, and what you need to consider before enabling them.
What to Know About Integrations – Echo-Health.ai
🏥 Integration with Practice Management Systems (PMS)
Echo-Health.ai currently integrates with Medtech Evolution via the ALEX® API platform. Other systems (e.g. Best Practice, Zedmed) are under review for future compatibility.
What this enables:
-
Pull patient demographic data securely at the time of consult
-
Match name + DOB + mobile or NHI for fast identification
-
Reduce manual data entry for clinicians
-
Populate summaries, referrals, and notes with accurate clinic information
Note: This is a one-way, time-of-need access. Echo-Health.ai does not store patient records or query your full PMS.
📄 Consent and Compliance
Before enabling integration, users must complete a consent agreement. This outlines:
-
Purpose: To support AI scribe functionality only
-
Scope: Data is only accessed in-session
-
Revocability: Clinics can withdraw access at any time
-
Governance: Echo-Health.ai adheres to Medtech’s Code of Conduct
The agreement is shown in-platform and must be accepted before integration is activated.
🔐 Privacy and Security
Echo-Health.ai follows Australian and New Zealand privacy laws. Integrations are:
-
End-to-end encrypted
-
Limited to session-based data pulls
-
Audited for compliance and security
Data pulled from your PMS is not stored in Echo-Health.ai beyond what is required for that session’s note generation, and no persistent sync is maintained.
⚙️ How to Enable Integration
-
Go to System Settings
-
Toggle Integration Settings ON
-
Select your Integration Partner (e.g. Medtech)
-
Accept the consent agreement
-
Proceed with session setup as usual
If you are unsure whether your practice is ready for integration, contact support or your onboarding advisor.
🚫 Using Echo-Health.ai Without Integration
Echo-Health.ai still works seamlessly without a PMS connection:
-
Manual patient entry is available
-
Summaries and notes can be generated and exported
-
You retain full control over data
This is ideal for:
-
Independent providers
-
Early trials
-
Organisations without API access
